newsletter 12/1/14

I’m going to be honest. Every time I sit down to compose this introduction, my immediate instinct is to address all of you with an endearing nickname like “pulpers” or “fictioneers” or something else equally telling of my lack of imagination. I am open to suggestions!

Oh man, those Darwyn Cooke variants! DC is releasing a bunch of variants with artwork by Darwyn Cooke this month. 3D is cool. Lenticular is alright. But give me a bunch of warp-around Cooke covers and you’ve got my money. Check out the overs for this week below. I have a link there to see the rest of the variants dropping this month as well.

Also this week: Shaft AND Escape from New York both get new comic series, one my all-time favorite books, Pride of Baghdad gets the hardcover treatment, and I finally get another chance to read Geof Darrow’s Shaolin Cowboy! Good week.
