Pulp Fiction Newsletter Week of 3/28/18

Hello everyone! It’s a light week for new releases, but a huge week for DC books. In addition to the next issue of Doomsday Clock, we’ll also have the finale to Dark Nights Metal! A bunch of DC’s big plans for this year spin out of Metal so don’t miss it. Not much to say on the trade side. Some exciting reprints from Marvel and the first trade for Image book, The Realm that I feel like all the Walking Dead heads should be reading.

We have a bunch of Humanoids books on sale! Normally we sell for Humanoids books for 20% off but for the next week we have a bunch of select titles for 40% off including Technopriests, Bouncer, Legend of the Scarlet Blades, Disctrict 14 and more!

Finally, just want everyone to know that we WILL be open on Easter but if you find any eggs in the store, we probably need to call animal services. See you at the bottom…

DC Unveils Creator-powered Black Label Imprint

DC Entertainment has revealed details of its new imprint, Black Label, which will launch in August with non-continuity projects by a stellar creative line-up.

“Many of our perennially best-selling, critically acclaimed books were produced when we unleashed our top talent on standalone, often out-of-continuity projects featuring our most iconic characters, a prime example being Frank Miller’s The Dark Knight Returns,” DC Entertainment Co-publisher Jim Lee said in a statement announcing DC Black Label.

The imprint will open with the following titles:

  • Superman: Year One from Frank Miller and John Romita Jr.

  • Batman: Damned from Brian Azzarello and Lee Bermejo

  • Wonder Woman Historia: The Amazons from Kelly Sue DeConnick and Phil Jimenez
