Pulp Fiction Newsletter Week of 3/7/18

Hello everyone! Go see Annihilation! It’s a very Ryan movie made for Ryans, but you’ll enjoy it too! We have a signing coming up this month at the Culver location to celebrate the trade paperback release of Port of Earth, an awesome new science fiction book from Image written by local gentleman Zack Kaplan. We have a bunch of stuff coming back in stock so please let us know if you missed anything so we can get you back on track. We’ve also added a “Breaking News” portion below with a bullet point list of recent big news coming out of the wide world of comics.

ECCC (Emerald City Comic Con) big announcement:
SANDMAN is back with the NEIL GAIMAN-directed Sandman Universe in August

The Sandman Universe – one shot  plotted by Gaiman and written by Nalo Hopkinson, Kat Howard, Si Spurrier, and Dan Watters, art by Bilquis Everly and a cover by Jae Lee.

House of Whisper by Hopkinson: “how the voodoo deity Erzulie ended up in the Dreaming with her titular house.”

Books of Magic: written by Kat Howard: the continuing adventures of bespectacled wizard Tim Hunter.

The Dreaming: written by Si Spurrier: focuses on Lucien the librarian and Matthew the Raven.

Lucifer: written by Dan Watters “finds the titular devil blind and destitute, trapped living in a small boarding house in a quiet town where no one can ever leave.”

Other news and notes from ECCC:
Justice League No Justice sees all of the DCU’s superhero teams combined and scrambled up as they try to stop space gods from destroying distant planets.  The story kicks off in the DC Nation one-shot in May. It continues the fast-paced action established by Metal.

Brian Bendis Announces 2 *New* Titles For His DC/Jinxworld Launch:  First up, launching in August is Pearl with his Alias / Jessica Jones cohort, Michael Gaydos.
Then there’s Cover with David Mack, which has an unspecified Fall launch.  Plus, Powers will be back this summer with an original graphic novel and Scarlet 3 is in the works!
