Pulp Fiction Newsletter Week of 4/18/18

Hello everyone and happy Monday! Lots of ground to cover this week including Free Comic Book Day! It falls on May 5th this year and if you’ve joined us before than you know the drill. We’re still coordinating with the LA Food Bank so the more canned goods you bring, the more comics you can take home. They also accept cash donations of course (and prefer it).

The big piece of store business for this week is a change to our discount system. If you’re used to shopping with us, you know we’ve had a tiered discount system based on publisher for a while. However, from now on, all graphic novels will be a flat 30% off across the board. This includes all publishers, and still excludes books that are out of print or with a cover prices less than $10.

The big piece of comic business this week is Action #1000! We had tons of pre-orders and I just want to personally say thank you for those that got their pre-orders in early. This is a tremendous help to us when figuring out how much to order and avoid cannibalizing our shelf sales. If you’re planning to buy off the shelf this week, we should have plenty of all the solicited variants, but no one really the knows the demand until we open the doors so don’t sleep on it! See you at the bottom…
