Pulp Fiction Newsletter Week of 6/24/15

It’s getting hot! I’m sitting in air-conditioned glory here at work while I write this, but I know what’s waiting for me at home. Really, it just gives me an excuse to pull all the “cold setting” movies off the shelf this summer. So far I’m thinking The Thing, Snowpiercer, Winter’s Bone, The Grey, and Fargo. Let me know if you think of a good one! Ok, we have another round of DC and Marvel deals this week, the most requested so far being We Are Robin #1, and X-Men 92 #1. It’s hard not to look at that X-Men 92 cover and not think of this:

On the event side of things, there’s a Graphic Novel Club meeting this coming weekend, and the Wednesday after that we’ll have another guest! There aren’t a ton of new indy series this week, but there are some hot indy trades dropping Wednesday like Rastputin, Rumble and Wytches! All of those books are cool and Rumble in particular is in my top five monthly books right now. Finally, some of you know I’ve been messing with video content for a little bit in my quest to cover really niche comic subjects. This time it’s all about some pretty great licensed Hellraiser comics Epic put out in the early 90’s. Check it out if you have a minute…or fifteen. See you at the bottom…
