Pulp Fiction Newsletter Week of 7/13/16

Hello everyone. We have a few signings set up for the next few weeks, so be sure to look closely at the upcoming events below. Also, those of you that enjoy our used graphic novels might have noticed they’ve been pretty anemic lately, but no longer! Out with the old, in the new (used). Both stores will have 100s of new additions to their graphic novel trade-in sections!  Come in early and be the first to check out these bargain priced gems.

We have a bunch of $1.50 deals of this week including another round of Rebirth titles and a new science fiction series from Image. On the trade side, there are two new collections for series I think everyone should try: one a crime/espionage/war book called Sheriff of Babylon and a really terrific dark fantasy series called Monstress. Matthew Rosenberg (4 Kids Walk Into a Bank, We Can Never Go Home) and Frank Barbiere (The Revisionist, Five Ghosts) are marathon visiting west coast stores leading up to SDCC and they’re going to closes us out this Wednesday at 7:30 PM! It’s a small window, but I doubt we’ll see these guys soon.

Wednesday July 20th 11 AM to 4 PM at Culver Store
MATT MACFARLAND is a contemporary artist and cartoonist whose ongoing Graphic Narrative, Dark Pants, follows a mysterious pair of pants through Los Angeles as they drastically affect the lives of whoever wears them. MacFarland has also compiled his experiences as an art teacher into a self-published comic, The Teaching Chronicles.
