Pulp Fiction Newsletter Week of 7/5/17

Hello everyone! I hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday tomorrow. Right up front, I want to remind everyone for the last time, new comics for July 5th won’t be available until after 4 PM. We will be open our regular hours, but there won’t be any new goodies on the wall or in anyone’s pull boxes until late afternoon. You have been warned!

The Culver Crew is finishing out the Anime Expo and should have the manga shelves at the store filled out before the end of the week. Thank you to those folks who came in to say hi. I had a good time catching up with Culver peeps!

It’s a lighter week for comics, but there are definitely some big graphic novel releases including an omnibus for Hickman’s Avengers run, a sexy Tokyo Ghost hardcover collecting the whole series, and the highly anticipated second collection for Monstress. Also, the 90s kids may have an interest in the Jim Lee Trading Card variants Marvel’s rolling out. Here’s what’s dropping this week:

ALSO…go see Baby Driver! 100% guaranteed good time at the movies. You can expect I will be playing the soundtrack for the next couple weeks when I have the store to myself. Also also, if you’re a Fallout and/or an Emily Carrol fan, she’s been doing these really cool four-panel strips inspired by Fallout 4 that I thought were pretty neat. You can check that out here: https://medium.com/mammon-machine-zeal/emily-carrolls-fallout-4-c10f67e2d59c

See you at the bottom…
