Hey guys! After a week that was unfortunately lacking in deals of the week (and myself), I return bearing gifts! We have four new books this week to check out on the cheap:
Dark Corridor #1, The Shadow #1, John Flood #1, and This Damned Band #1. I haven’t had a chance to read any of these yet, but the writer of This Damned Band is someone I’ve been rooting for to have something hit, so we’ll see. We’re also getting more copies of Wolf #1 which I highly recommend if you missed it. There are a few follow up issues this week to series with strong debut issues, like Brian K Vaughan’s We Stand on Guard. It wasn’t a deal when it debuted, but I also thought The Spire was really cool, especially if you’re a Miyazaki fan.
On the trade side, it’s light but interesting with books like American Barbarian, Bowery Boys, and Veda. I’m especially intrigued by the Bowery Boys collection; the artwork looks great and I’m into that Gangs of New York vibe. And finally on the store side, Long Bach will have a bunch of new (gently used) Trading Post additions Wednesday morning. See you at the bottom…
